In a compelling and interesting story, a North Carolina man is pushing for tougher rules for safety chains on trailers after a trailer came loose from a truck and killed his wife. The man, Jamie Langemann from Greenville, lost his wife in an October wreck after a utility trailer hit her van head-on. Apparently, his daughter survived the wreck. Click here for the full story.
Indeed, this is certainly something that should be addressed by our General Assembly. We all see trailers being pulled down the highway and wonder if they are safe. Hopefully, this will lead to a better law.
