Pedestrian Struck and Killed

As reported, a pedestrian was struck and killed in Stokes County early Thursday morning.

Deputies received a call around 2 a.m. regarding someone being hit near Pine Hall Road between Hanes Rd. and Community Rd. near Walnut Cove. The pedestrian, a 44-year-old man, died from injuries sustained in the accident.

Officials have not released the name of the victim. Investigators are still trying to determine how the accident happened.
